At a press conference held Saturday, Mr. Karth Belly the CPA
spokesman said that Lakhdhar al- Ibrahimi will play an important role in
the elections of Iraq due to his long experience in this concern.Belly
indicated that the doors are opened wide before complaints in case there
is any abuse against Iraqi prisoners.Replying to a question of As-Sabah
regards opening the dossiers of oil ministry, he said that the dossier is
connected with memorandum of understanding besides the manipulation and
involvement cases of other sides in this matter, hence comes the request
of UN, the supreme watch committee and other sides to verify this matter.
About 5 millions Iraqi dinars allotted for the supreme board to shoulder
this task.As regards names appointed by the CPA to be within the formation
of the new government, Belly confirmed that there is no certain
information regards electing any person , saying that the coming
government will be national one neither Shiite nor Sunni or Kurdish , but
national government without discrimination .

The proceedings of 19th Arab Summit Conference have concluded
in Tunisia.Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa described the summit
as it realized good outcomes.At a press conference, attended by Al- Habeeb
Bin Yahya the Tunisian foreign minister, Mr. Moussa said that the most
important in the summit conferences is the implementation of the
decisions.The final statement of the Arab Summit assured that Arab leaders
are integrated to realize peace and justice.Notably, the Arab leaders
expressed their solidarity with Syria in facing up to US sanctions .The
summit conference is failed in approving a reformation document in Arab
homeland.Many Arab leaders were absence from the summit conference further
for the early withdrawal of Libyan president Muamar al- Qathafi from the
conference's pening sessions and the departure of King of Jordan Abdullah
the 2nd before the end of the closed session.

EQUIPMENT

Within its efforts to reconstruct Iraq and in an implementation
for Korean pledges in Madrid donors conference held in October last year,
the ministry of electricity has received Korean different equipments.It is
hopeful these equipments contribute in the stabilization of electricity
energy supply in more than 200 electricity generating stations into an
area exceeds 2000 km of the transport strategic lines.

The supreme council of the Islamic revolution in Iraq has condemned the
arrest of Hassan al- Sari the secretary general of Hozballah party .In a
statement issued by the council, the council said that the occupation
forces launched a raid against Al- Sari house at the dawn of last Saturday

The Iraqi police source has announced about a missile dropped nearby
Alwiya club downtown Baghdad without casing any damages.The source
indicated that a mortar projectile dropped on Mercedes company for
repairing cars causing injuries for a number of the staff, saying that the
projectile was targeted a hotel inhabited by foreigners working in
contracting companies and media networks.On the other hand, the police
bomb squads were able Saturday morning to defuse two explosive charges put
in A'dhamiya nearby Nida al- Islam mosque ." both explosive charges were
remote-controlled put on the way used by the occupation forces" the source

1957 CENSUS – A BASIC LAW TO HAVE REAL
ESTATE IN BAGHDAD

The information justice bureau at Justice Ministry to confirm
that the Decision No. 1957 census makes it available for citizens to
posses real estate in Baghdad and this matter is valid in transporting
property to real estate department because this decision is valid yet
despite the Governing Council issuance of a decision to cancel it, yet it
is not declared in newspapers.
OPEC DISCUSSES OIL PRICES STABILITY

The OPEC ministers of oil and energies held a broad meeting on
May 22 discussed during which a host of issues related to the organization
.The meeting was organized on the fringe of the ninth world energy forum
held in Amsterdam.Dr. Ibrahim Bahr al- Uloom the Iraqi oil minister said
that the organization was urged to take possible procedures to soothe
world oil market , stabilize and revive world economy, adding that the
meeting witnessed some disagreements , referring that some countries
prefer increasing oil production , while other are not , clarifying that
the subject of oil quota increase will be postponed.
ZIBARI, PORTUGUESE COUNTERPART HOLD
TALKS

Mr. Hoshiar Zibari the foreign minister held talks in Lisbon with his
Portuguese counterpart Mrs. Maria Tereza . The talks dealt with bilateral
relations and means of developing them to serve common interests.
