$ 200 MILLIONS ALLOTTED FOR DISSOLVED MINISTRIES

The Iraqi government has allotted $ 200 millions for the dissolved ministries to be distributed as salaries. These funds were not included in the government's budget for 2004.Meanwhile, Dr. Iyad Allawi said that the government has sought seriously to find a solution for the problem of militias to be integrated with the Iraqi police and the National Guard, referring to the creation of the economic committee within the coming stage.'About 19 terrorists were killed , nine others arrested in Haifa clashes and some elements of the National Guard". Allawi was quoted as saying.At a press conference, Dr. Allawi confirmed Iraq's rejection to accept the funds of the donors as debts made condition on accepting these funds as humanitarian aids to alleviate the burden on the Iraqi people who suffered along 35 years ago, referring to the justice of Saddam's tribunal which boosted confidence of Iraqi people in his government the matter reflected positively on the information reported by the population to foil terrorism. 

HAIFA SUCCESSFUL OPERATION, AN ATTACK CARRIED OUT BY NATIONAL GUARD

In an operation to attack dens of terrorism in Baghdad, a platoon of the Iraqi National Guard has carried out a successful operation Wednesday against groups of Saddam's remnants and a number of Al- Zarqawi followers who were gathered in four buildings in the said street.That operation comes as a practical indication to transfer the initiative of the attack to the hand of the National Guard." An accurate intelligence information reported a group of Saddam's men and Al- Zarqawi followers were crowded in four buildings in Haifa street " Mr. Hazim Sh'lan the minister of defense elaborated, adding that the operation started in installing search points in front of these buildings for instigating the hostile elements who thought they could control the battalion of the national guard.Clarifying the details of the operation, the minister said that the battalion was able to be sheltered and specify the hostile fire sources further for cordoning the four buildings in pure Iraqi efforts, saying that the multi –national forces took the role of the monitor by the helicopters.Fighting were occurred from floor to another, from flat to another, about 19 terrorists killed and nine others arrested.Meanwhile one member of the National Guard was killed and 12 others wounded.Among the prisoners and dead were a number of Arab infiltrators. 

TRADE MINISTRY ESTABLISHES FREE ECONOMY, OPENS ATTACHÉ S ABOARD

 The trade ministry has sought to open attachés in a number of Arab and world countries.Mr. Muhammed al- Jubouri the Minister of Trade said that this step comes to promote ties with different world states after a halt during the ex-regime , calling Arab and world companies to submit their offers of investment and trade participation.He added that Iraq is seeking membership in World Trade Organization, affirming that the Baghdad international Fair will be held in the decided time in case the security situation got better.Replying to a question on Iraq's establishment for free trade zone, the minister said that this matter depends on the coming political circumstances, clarifying that the ministry should make free economy and seek to be an active member in the international economic meetings besides connecting the Iraqi economy with the wheel of the world economy. 

REHABILITATE, MAINTAIN BABIL DRINKING WATER COMPLEXES

The Babil Water Directorate has implemented its annual plan to construct several projects for exchanging old-fashioned networks and erect new ones 100 km length whereas ID600, 000,000 have been allocated for such works.The Eng. Sulman Hassan Kadhim the Director of Babil Water Directorate said that the works include building an administrative department at the directorate and centers belonging for water departments. Meanwhile, the directorate is cooperating with Polish Cynic organization to erect Tufail water complex which will work with capacity of 200 cubic meters per hour.Another network 30 km length has been set to supply districts of al-Kafel stream Dam and sides from Offi, al-Sahlan, al-Khamass, Beni Moslem with waters .Kadhim confirmed that the directorate has cooperated with Kier organization to rehabilitee al-Sada water project further for cooperating with Siminal organization to establish al-Talaee complex with capacity of 50 cubic meter per hour and set up network for the district 8km length as well as transferring al-Tala'a water complex to Sredeep district and establishing network of 4km length, referring that this complex will be operated soon.

NAJAF TELECOMMUNICATION CENTER IN BAD SITUATION

Al-Najaf telecommunication center  as much as other Iraqi provinces centers have suffered from abuse and hazards of military attacks in addition to that the Central is an old-fashioned one.Al-Najaf telecommunication center has subjected to harm a matter that halted 14,000 telephone lines from service and subjected central appliances to a damage following firing the central room.The Eng. Kadhim Mehdi the Director of al-Najaf Post and Communication said that on May 29 we have formed a maintaining team  according to the instruction of the ministry further to the availability of potentialities and the raw materials.He clarified that an American team had made a survey to the devastated central location and provided with expected number of costs necessary to exchange the central.
