MORTAR PROJECTILES HIT GREEN ZONE
FIVE TRAPPED CARS BOMBED

The security situation in Iraq has been complicated . Several sites witnessed perilous deterioration as five trapped cars were exploded in the south , middle and north of Iraq .Meanwhile, the black smoke were seen on the sky of the green zone yesterday dawn .In the meantime, Haifa street witnessed fierce clashes between the Iraqi forces , US forces from one side and the gunmen from another.The interim national assembly transferred the place of its sessions from the convention center into another place inside the green zone after the exploding of a trapped car near one of the entrances in the green zone.
The fighting were fierce between the gunmen sheltered in the residential districts and the forces of the Iraqi national guards backed up by the US forces.The helicopters bombed the sites of the gunmen at Haifa Street which witnessed four fierce fighting.That escalation is coincided with the audiotape for Abi Mus'ab al- Zarqawi in which he attacked the Iraqi government under leadership of Iyad Allawi the Iraqi prime minister , promising him  for retaliation .The director of Yarmouk police station and two of his companions were killed as two of the passengers injured due to the explosion of trapped car near the criminal combating directorate.In the meantime , the Iraqi T.V announced the explosion of 2^nd trapped car in an attempt of its driver to break into the green zone . Another trapped car exploded on the expressway near Amiriya district western Baghdad.The Iraqi health ministry announced three citizens injured in Abu Ghraib compound in Baghdad. The spokesman responsible for preparing statistics on the victims of the acts of terrorism in Iraq said that three Iraqis were injured inside Abu Ghraib prison .News sources indicated to the explosion of trapped car near pediatric hospital in Ramadi western Baghdad during the passing of the US military convoy . 

ID 134 BILLIONS FOR CLEANING RIVERS, REHABILITATING WATER CANALS

The ministry of water resources has allocated 134 billons Iraqi dinars for cleaning small streams and operating and maintaining the water canals." Within the national campaign for cleaning and improving the irrigation projects, the water resources ministry has enabled to clean and improve the irrigation projects "  Eng. Muhammed al- Dhari the advisor of the constructions and maintenance affairs at the ministry of water resources said .

ISLAMIC DEMOCRAT TREND SLAMS KIDNAPPING OF JOURNALISTS

The Islamic democrat trend has denounced the kidnapping of the French journalists and the two Italian hostages by the armed groups in Iraq.In a statement for the Islamic democrat trend, Mr. Ali al- Shabout the member of the Secretariat General of the trend said that these inhuman and immoral intimidations are a conspiracy for distorting the supreme values of Islam and offending the Iraqi people, calling Iraqi people trends to exert efforts to release the hostages and stop savage acts. 

EXPORT, IMPORT OF RADIOACTIVE MATERIALS BANNED

The ministries of environment, foreign , science and technology have banned the import and export of any radioactive material unless obtaining official agreements stipulated in the law of radiation prevention to avert the dangers of imported and exported radioactive materials .Dr. Bushra Ahmed the director of radiation prevention department at the ministry of environment said that the meeting held by the concerned ministries discussed the most important environmental dangers occurred due to the leaking of many radioactive materials from Tuweitha site in addition to the weapons used in the war on Iraq and dangers of contamination in radioactive materials. 

EDUCATION MINISTRY FINISHS REQUIREMENTS OF NEW ACADEMIC YEAR

The ministry of education and the state directorates in Baghdad and other Iraqi cities have finished the requirements of the new academic year .Meeting with the ministry's staff , Dr. Sami al- Mudafar said that each directorate is part of the ministry , referring that the administrative decisions must not be adopted out of the ministries , adding that the priorities are concentrated towards making the examinations success and overcome obstacles took place in the 1^st term examination , noting that the surrounding circumstances represent one of the reasons behind hindering such examinations .Dr. Al- Mudafar said that we have all work to implement the law and prevent violating the law of examination.

NEW DAMS ESTABLISHED

The ministry of water resources, the state directorate of dams and storages has constructed a number of grand and small dams in all northern and southern provinces.The engineer Ra'ad Abdul Jaleel the director general of the dams directorate confirmed that the directorate carried out several sinking dams on Kani Azmar valley in Suleimaniya province,  % 84 of the project has been achieved . The directorate also carrying out Horan dam which is of the small dams locating in Anbar province , 18KM northeast Rutba 50 millions cubic meter capacity .
