AL- SISTANI CALLS FOR ELECTIONS IN SPECIFIC TIME

Haifa street has witnessed the 5^th military operation during which scores of suspects were arrested in the criminal and terror operations as a trapped car exploded in Rasafi Square in Baghdad . The accident left behind scores of dead and injured at a time Washington admitted the delay in using the funds allocated for the reconstruction process.In Najaf, the grand religious authority Ayatollah Ali al- Sistani along with other religious authorities called to stop violence , urging for wisdom and tranquility in dealing with the events and making the elections in the specific time.Meanwhile , Al- Sistani made telephone contacts with chief the interim government Dr. Iyad Allawi in which he demanded to release commanders at Hizbullah Iraqi party detained in Abu Ghraib detaining center few weeks ago.In the meantime, Sheikh al- Yaqobi called to exert utmost efforts to make the census a success , describing any suspension for these elections as a flagrant violation on the Iraqi people. 

ADDITIONAL 4000 TONS OF CEMENT FOR BAGHDAD

The southern cement state company has allocated 4000 tons of cement to the population of Baghdad province.Eng. Ala' Muhammed al- Tufaili said that the company has provided Baghdad's personnel with the cement during July and August, referring that the aim is to eliminate the cement crisis and end the increase of prices of the construction materials.Notably, the middle region cement factories in Sai'da district have stopped completely owing to the acts of sabotage; plundering and looting followed the military operations.Notably, the middle region cement factories were feeding Baghdad and its outskirts in addition to other near provinces.

MASS COMMUNICATION BOARD PROMISES WITH NEW EXPERIMENT

The supreme mass communication board has said that it is on way to hold a conference to clarify the strategies and mechanisms of the board.The board denied in a statement what is circulated by the local newspapers of declarations attributed to the government officials and mass-communication board spoke about strict instructions to close this newspaper or that.The board said that these allegations are groundless, affirming its determination on making free Iraqi democratic media experiment sticking to the independence and pluralism and abiding by freedom of expression and respecting other opinion.Meanwhile, informational comments indicated that the board might go far beyond the planned road coping with indications of the democratic change and freedom atmosphere that depicted immediately on the features of the new mass communication direction. 

NEW FRAMEWORK FOR HEALTH MINISTRY

The ministry of health has approved its new framework that include the ministry's plan  for the coming four years  and the work plan that will be implemented on long and short terms.In the periodical meeting of the directors general in Baghdad and other cities, attended by Dr. A'llulddin Allwan the minister of health, the recommendations of the 1^st medical conference on the current health situation in Iraq discussed.The minister affirmed the importance of organizing training courses for the cadres of the ministry of health, referring to the importance of moving resources and put transparent vision for the Iraqi health situation as the ministry specified subjects of work and points of weakness and disorder in the health sector, affirming that the ministry is in need for programmed working plan coping with circumstances.On the other hand, the health control department at the ministry was seized five tons of expire oil found in one of Ice cream factories.Dr. Imadulldin al- Naqash the director of the health control department said that the department undertook general survey for the foods in the local markets, searching for its suitability for the human use. 

IRAQ TAKES PART IN BEIRUT CONFERENCE

Iraq is to participate in the 3^rd international conference on waters in Arab countries scheduled in Beirut on 24^th of the current year.A source at the ministry of water resources said that Iraq participates in working paper related to the water resources sector in Iraq, new methods of irrigation projects , procedures adopted for promoting  irrigation and the US and world countries donation in establishing new  agricultural and irrigational  service projects in Iraq. 

IRAQ SPECIFIES CORPSES OF 175 KUWAITI MISSING IN 1991

Iraq has participated in the meetings of the sub technical committee devoted for the missing of the 2^nd Gulf war. The Iraqi delegation is headed by Bakhtiar Ameen the minister of human rights and representatives of Saudi Arabia, Britain, US, France and the international committee of Red Cross in addition to Kuwait.The source said that the ministry has specified 175 Kuwaiti corpses missed in Iraq in 1991. The Iraqi delegation expressed preparedness to tackle the destiny of other missing, urging the international concerned sides to specify the destiny of the Iraqi missing in each Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.The source indicated that the Iraqi delegation received a list from the Red Cross in which it specifies the destiny of 45 Iraqi missing resorted to other countries.The delegation demanded the Red Cross to provide it with a list of names of Iraqi military and civil refugees to facilitate the process of search of the Iraqi missing.
