CRIMINAL COURT AFFIRMS ISSUANCE OF MEMORANDUM TO SEND FOR MINISTER OF INTERIOR & DIRECTOR OF INTELLIGENCE

Mr. Zuheer al- Maliki the investigation judge in the special criminal court said that the memorandum to send for the minister of interior and director of intelligence department is valid and active, adding that the interrogation has got underway.He added that the detained and released members of Hizbullah movement resorted to the Iraqi judge once they feel that their rights violated by the government departments. They complained against the minister of interior and the director of the intelligence department and the director of the grand crimes. Legal procedures were adopted in agreement with the article 15 and 16 of the interim law.The central investigation court issued a decision to hand over the building that belonged to the dissolve intelligence department to the movement of Iraqi Hizbullah. 

EMIRATES ACCELERATES DONATION OF ELECTRICITY PROMOTION

The United Arab Emirates has agreed in principle to accelerate sending the financial allocations worth of $ 215 millions specialized for promoting the electricity in Iraq .After his return from Bahrain , Dr. Ayham al- Samaree the minister of electricity said that he met Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zaed the Emirati minister of information in charge of the Iraqi dossier.During the meeting, mechanism of accelerating the donation for the electricity sector in Iraq was discussed.He added that he put forth a number of options for the Emirati side to accelerate this process, affirming that the official agreements will be obtained in this regard during the next week.In the meantime, a delegation from the ministry of electricity is heading for the Jordanian capital to participate in the meetings of the preparatory conference of the donors scheduled to start tomorrow.An official source at the ministry indicted that the participation in this conference comes to discuss future projects in field of electricity and the extent of including them in the program of the donors scheduled in Japan.

FOUR PASSPORTS CENTERS TO BE OPENED IN BAGHDAD

The state directorate of the passports is ready to open four new offices for issuing passports for the population in Baghdad.Mr. Jameel al- Anbari the director of Karkh passports said that there are four new centers are to be opened in Baghdad , three of which will be in Karkh district i.e in Kadhimiya , al- Amel and Dora in addition to other center in New Baghdad in Rusafa district. He confirmed that these centers will contribute in realizing flexibility in the process of obtaining the passport in a record time, to alleviate the crowd in the passports centers in Baghdad. 

MINISTER OF WATER RESOURCES RECEIVES EGYPTIAN, ITALIAN AMBASSADORS

The minister of water resources has met the Egyptian and Italian ambassadors.During the meeting, the minister called on Egypt and Italy to support the development projects in Iraq through increasing opportunities of training the irrigation cadres and get benefit of the technical expertise of both countries in field of maintaining canals and offering direct financial support necessary for implementing the strategic irrigation project .During his meeting with the Egyptian ambassador in Baghdad Dr. Farouq Mabrouk and the Italian ambassador to Baghdad separately , the minister said that getting benefit of the Egyptian expertise in field of combating water herbs and maintaining irrigation canals will promote performance of the irrigation sector further for promoting training opportunities for the Iraqi cadres at the ministry of water resources.

WORLD INVESTORS TO ESTABLISH OIL REFINERY IN MIDDLE OF IRAQ

The ministry of oil is studying a plan to involve foreign investors in the process of establishing oil refinery in the middle region at production capacity measures up 200,000 barrels per day.An official source at the ministry said that the cost of the project worth of two millions dollar. It is hopeful the company which shoulders the costs will deduct it from the oil quantities of this refinery after finishing the construction.He added the ministry is to rely on the foreign investments in field of promoting the oil sector .He indicated to the ministry's plan to enlarge and expand crude oil pipelines all over Iraq , clarifying that the process of promoting pipelines will facilitate transporting oil products , saying the ministry will adopt this procedure instead of transporting the oil products by tankers owing to the acts of plundering and looting by saboteurs , affirming the plan will be implemented in the advent of 2005.
