EMERGENCY PAYMENTS OF THE MILITARY TO BE INCREASED IN RAMADHAN

The Minister of Interior Falah al- Naqeeb said that it has been agreed upon rehiring all ranks of the Iraqi army officers, adding that this decision adopted in agreement with the Iraqi Premier Iyad Allawi and the Minister of Defense Hazim al- Sh'alaan .He said that the decision was adopted after a meeting held in Tikrit with the command of the multi-national forces General John Casey in which he said that the rehired officers will join the staff of the ministries of interior and defense.In the meantime, the ministry of defense decided to increase the emergency payments for the military by adding  ID 60,000 on the occasion of holy month of Ramadan.Mr. Nabeel Khalil al- Obaidi the director of warriors' affairs said that the ministry plan will include the resumption of the directorate of army stores and offer best health care for the military and their families as well as activating the mechanism of transforming those included in the civil service into the state departments in accordance with their qualifications. 

ENTRANCE OF IRANIAN VISITORS VIA  ZIRBATIYA BORDER POINT BANNED

The Iraqi borders forces have banned thousands of Iranian visitors from entering Iraq via the Iraqi border point in Zibatiya-Mahraan.The force source said that in charge of the point told the Iranian side that the holy shrines in Najaf are under reconstruction. Add to that the security situation does not encourage in the current time for the entrance of large numbers of visitors into Iraq.On its part, the Iranian authorities banned the entrance of Iraqi visitors unless the Iraqi side agrees on the entrance of similar numbers of the Iranian visitors. The matter led to the halt of Iraqi visitors' trip to Iran two days ago.Meanwhile, the multi-national forces set search points on Zirbatiya –Shihabi cross road which is the main road used by the infiltrators, drug tradesmen and smugglers.

NATIONAL ASSEMBLY GETS ACQUAINTANCE WITH HIGH EDUCATION SITUATION

Within its activities, a delegation representing the higher education and culture committee at the National Assembly visited the ministry of higher education and scientific research.Dr. Tahir al- Bakaa the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research briefed the committee, which is headed by Dr. Saadi al- Barazanchi , with  the achievements of the ministry and its instructions in the coming stage .Al- Bakaa affirmed his future vision to set the state of institutions with the aim to realize the university independence, banning any sectarian or party activity in the university. Calling for the issuance of the university service law and reconsidering the salaries of the faculty members coping with their respectful social level.The committee concentrated on the importance of offering the possible help to promote the scientific level. The situation of the dormitories and the central admittance were discussed. 

ROUND OF BAGHDAD INTERNATIONAL FAIR SUSPENDED

The current round of the Baghdad International Fair has been suspended owing to the current security situation.Interviewed by As-Sabah, the director of the Iraqi fairs state company Muhanad Ahmed Salih expressed his regret over depriving Iraq from the opportunity of holding fairs for the 2^nd year respectively as the fair constitute a grand opportunity to cope with updated technologies in the world ." We are facing another problem related to the reception of the delegations willing in participation since the hotels and the hospitality houses are no long able to receive these numbers of delegations " Mr . Ahmed concluded. 

SADDAM'S REIGN BEHIND INSTABILITY IN IRAQ

Saddam's reign is the main cause behind the chaos and instability in Iraq after more than one year and a half since the collapse of Saddam.The sectarian, ethnic and political diversifications represent a marginal cause.In the electronic poll held by Illaf bulletin, most of the participants thought that the reign of the dictator and the negative political, social and economic outcomes are the main cause behind instability in Iraq.The 2^nd important factor is representing in US political faults. Around % 41, 3 of the participants thought these faults are behind current instability.
