RELIGIOUS AUTHORITY CALLS FOR ELECTIONS UNDER INTERNATIONAL SUPERVISION

Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani has called on making the elections in the specific time.Meanwwhile, the US Secretary of Defense Donald Ramsfield hinted to the violence which might pushing for limited elections.He expressed his country preparedness for sending more troops if the military commanders demanded that.In the meantime, Moscow confirmed its preparedness to support the political  settlement in Iraq amid news about Pakistan rejection on sending forces into Iraq." the  deteriorating security situation should not be taken as a pretext to postpone the elections" Al- sistani was quoted as saying, stressing the importance of making the elections under the UN supervision.Al- Khafaf the assistant of Al- Sistani said that the grand religious authority is calling for elections that represent the Iraqi people's all ethnics and sects, denying the rumor that Al- Sistani will halt support for the elections if his demands not responded.Al- Khafaf indicated that Al- Sistani is demanding the UN supervision for the elections in Iraq to make the elections a credibile .Al- Sistani expressed concern over the possibility of postponing the elections and the political parties control over the democratic process . 

AL- SHA'LAAN : 50 TERRORISTS FROM DIFFERENT NATIONALITIES ARRESTED

Mr. Hazim al- Sha'laan the Minister of Defense said that the national gurad forces launched crack down over Haifa Street , arrested 50 terrorists from different nationalities, seized large quantities of weapons and ammunition.In the meantime , a number of mortar projectiles fell on a site near the Italy Embassy in Wazziriya causing damages in a number of the near houses .An official source at the Ministry of Interior announced that four Egyptians engineers were kidnapped in Qaim as they work in construction company.The number of the Egyptian kidnapped increased into six since last Wednesday after an armed group declared responsibility on the kidnapping of other engineers working in ORASCOM company.Meanwhile , a missile fell on Palestine Street in Baghdad ,three civilians were  killed and 14 others were injured.In the meantime , As-Sabah correspondent in Samawa said the house of the police commander in the province was subjected to grenade attack by unknown persons . The event caused the injury of guardsman . No side declared responsibility on that attack.The news reported the outbreak of fierce fighting in Falluja once the gunmen shoot fire on the US force near the city .The US forces declared the killing of one Marines in Anbar after clashes with gunmen.In subsequent news from Ramadi , a trapped car was exploded near the museum building .The US forces closed the roads leading to the explosion site .

The Baghdad Governor has signed contracts with a number of world, Arab and Iraqi companies to rehabilitate water , sewerage , electricity and other municipal services . These contracts worth of $ 260 millions.Mr. Ali al- Haidari the Baghdad governor said that the capital will witness ,in the few coming months , noticeable developments in all levels .The governor work  will be on two mechanisms , the 1st is to offer important and nessesary services for the city of Baghdad , the 2nd is resuming the distinctive position for the city of Baghdad as a cradle of civilizaton and as religious , cultural and scientific emblem .Notably, Baghdad will host a number of conferences , festivals and scientific symposiums in all sport , artificial and scientific fields. 

BORDER CHECK POINTS ARRESTS PERSON CLAIMED FALSELY TO BE GOVERNMENT TOP OFFICIAL

The Iranian naval forces have kidnapped five Iraqi hunting boats on board 19 fishers as the Iraqi border points arrested a person claimed falsely to be the command of the desert borders.In a telephone call with As-Sabah , Brigadier Ali al- Moussawi the commander of the southern borders said that the Iranian naval forces went farther into the Iraqi regional waters Thursday noon , southern Ras al-Bisha near Basra oil port and kidnapped the Iraqi boats.The Iraqi fisher Jassim Hatim said that he could fleeing the Iranian forces , but he said that the Iranian naval forces launched that action after finding an Irainan corpse killed near the lightened pillars .Al- Moussawi said that the Iraqi fishers are working on their private account and do not belonging to any governmental parties , calling to maintain the friendship ties between Iraq and Iran .In the meantime, a security source at the command of the southern borders announced about the arrest of Jawad Ali al- Hathaal who claimed falsely to be the commander of the desert guard northern Safwaan.The source added that the suspect along with a group of gunmen were used to transport via the borders.Notably Hathaal contacted the neighboring governments telling them that he is in charge of the border line with them .The security source said that the border forces seized more than 200 applicants forms belonged to the citizens are willing to join border guard.
