CONTACTS WITH IRANIAN SIDE TO RELEASE IRAQI FISHERS

Quick contacts have got underway between the Iranian side regards releasing the Iraqi fishers and their boats. Notably, the fishers were kidnapped by the Iranian border and coastal guards in Ras al- Bisha region which is under the protection of the Iraqi coastal defense .Brigadier Ahmed al- Khafaji the interior undersecretary said that the ties between Iraq and Iran are good and we sought to eliminate all obstacles facing with.Al- Khafaji confirmed that the interior ministry will declare in the coming days the direct support for the southern borders in all fields to secure complete protection for the land and naval borders . Notably, Al- Khafaji was arrived in Basra after the growing of the Iraqi fishers crisis. A meeting was held at the southern borders command headquarters, attended by the in charge of borders , customs and the river force .During the meeting, Al-Khafaji shed light on the importance of observing the border points and sending river patrols in Shatt al- Arab waters , referring to the government decision to ban  the entrance of right –steering vehicles. 

 $ 41 MILLIONS FOR SCHOOL NUTRITION

The World Food Organization has allocated $ 41 millions for the school nutrition as a support for implementing the programs of school nutrition and childhood and motherhood care  in coordination with ministries of Health and Education.Dr. Abdul Illah Naji the Director General of sports education and school activity at the Ministry of Education said that the program of school nutrition includes more than 1,700,000 pupils in the primary school stage , kindergartens for the schools included in the program in different parts of Iraq.He indicated that the nutrition program includes oil ration given to the pupils in the rural region only as well as high protein biscuit and liquid milk. The distribution of the nutrition includes also the schools and teaching staffs.He clarified that the quantity of these materials are distributed in accordance with the program estimated 67078 tons , referring to the creation of committees to follow implementation of this project in the current school year further for preparing special storehouses all over Iraq under supervision of education directorates general. 

CONTEST FOR PUTTING NATIONAL ANTHEM

 Mr. Mufeed al- Jazairi the Minister of Culture has announced about a contest for putting the national anthem and the design of new Iraqi flag and emblem.At a press conference held on Saturday, Al- Jazairi said that the new national anthem is ought to be symbolizing the reconstruction of Iraq in harmony with values of faithfulness, patriotism and pluralism.The ministry has allocated 12 millions Iraqi dinars as a prize for the winning text, distributed equally between the poet , the tune-setter and the performer.As regards the contest of the new Iraqi flag, it is ought to symbolize Iraq's integration in all its nationalities, ethnics and cultures as well as representing the civilization of Mesopotamia.The contest of designing the republic emblem put condition that the emblem should reflect the civilization heritage for the Mesopotamia and the unity of all Iraqi  nationalities, ethnics, cultural trends and the new concepts in Iraq.  

NATIONAL GUARD FORCES BAN SMUGGLING OF OIL & SULFURIC-ACID

The Iraqi national forces have confiscated tankers for smuggling oil and sulfuric acids.Col. Firas al- Timimi in charge of mass communication said that the National Guard confiscated tankers loaded with sulfuric acid and oil prepared for smuggling.Meanwhile, tankers for smuggling oil from Shuaiba oil fields in the near farms were found. Two vehicles for smuggling gas in Abi al- Khaseenb district were confiscated also.On the other hand, the police intelligence check points were able to arrest a gang professional in kidnapping and plundering .
