NEW PENSION LAW TO BE ISSUED IN ADVENT 2005

Well acquainted source said that the pension salaries for the final part of the year will witness grand increase.Mr. Aziz Ali al- Ubaidi the chief human pension society said that the Ministry of Finance will pay the differences of the pension salaries until implementing the new pension law scheduled in the advent of the 2005.He added that the new law will be unified for all the old and the new pensioners, clarifying that the minister of finance Adel Abdul Mahdi has agreed on the proposal of the society stipulates the participation of one of its members in the proceedings of the financial committee.He indicated to the meetings with the minister of finance, saying that the outcomes of both meetings were fruitful and positive.Notably, the minister of finance confirmed that the sums of the pension salaries and the differences will be announced in the current week. 

ID 2 TRILLION FOR IMPLEMENTING 16 WATER GIANT PROJECTS

The ministry of municipalities and labor has allocated about one billion and 400 millions dollars or equivalent to more than 2 trillions Iraqi dinars for implementing 16 water giant projects all over Iraq from the US donation allocated for Iraq.Eng. Mahmoud Ali Ahmed the director general of the water department at the ministry said that the implementation of these projects comes within the strategic long-term plan of the ministry, adding that these projects include establishing water purification stations in addition to other projects.He clarified that the plan concentrated on the implementation of 16 central water projects besides installing 70 water complexes 1,000,000 gallon capacity a day in different parts of Iraq under financial allocations 152 billions dinars for the current year."Most of these projects will be carried out within two years until 2006", he said , adding that the ministry has detailed plan for the coming years to implement large numbers of the water central projects , modernizing the networks besides implementing long-term water pipelines within the budget of the ministry to realize the desired objective . 

GATES OF IMAM ALI SHRINES IN DAY HOURS OPENED

The grand religious authority Ayatollah Ali al- Sistani  met a delegation representing Muthana province .The delegation included 40 chieftains headed by Sheikh Najih Kamel Ghatheeth  the periodical chief of Muthana chieftains council.The meeting was attended by Muhammed Ali Hassan the governor of Muthana and Ahmed Marzouq the chief advisory council.During the meeting, the grand religious authority Ayatollah Ali al- Sistani called for national integration and mobilization of efforts for protecting and maintaining Iraq.He stressed the possibility of making comprehensive and national elections sticking to the Iraqi people, adding that it is important to make the elections comprehensive , achieved and not partial, instructing and urging all the Iraqi people to be unified .As a special favor for the delegation, Al- Sistani instructed to open the gates of Imam Ali Shrine to perform the visit rituals .The Iraqi chieftains' council in Muthana expressed their complete commitments in the instructions of the religious authority as Al- Ghareeqi expressed admiration over the integration of Muthana population. 

IMPORT OF RECONSTRUCTION MATERIALS INCREASED

The Ministry of Trade seeks to increase volume of contracts specialized to import constructional materials to contribute in reconstructing the country and alleviating suffering of Iraqi citizens during the reconstruction of their houses.An official source at the ministry said "in addition to that the ministry is seeking to renew the suspended contracts signed before April 9, 2003 with number of world countries to provide materials especially they witnessed increasing in prices because its shortages in the market". The source indicated that several fund violations and unjust actions have been discovered in the distribution a matter that necessitates the ministry to dismiss the company's director and supervised it directly; adding that the ministry didn't receive the contracted materials from the neighboring countries despite the ministry call the registers to receive them. Notably, the State Company of Constructive Materials Trading is halt to provide citizens with ceramic, doors, floor tiles and other constructional materials since April 9. 

88 WOMEN JOIN IRAQI ARMY

Around 88 Iraqi women have joined the Iraqi army basic training course in Jordan. The women will receive training courses in Amman under the supervision of the Jordanian army in coordination with the US army.Meanwhile, a press conference has held in Amman, attended by 25 volunteers. One of the volunteers said that they are full of determination to make this training course success.The female recruiters will secure Iraqi people safety and combating the enemies of Peace and Iraq.Notably, the Iraqi army undertakes volunteering the women similar to men in fields coping with their abilities. 

STUDY TO FINANCE PRIVATE SECTOR

The ministry of industry and minerals has started a study for financing the private sector through the long-term loans against an interest % 2 besides including them in the exemption for 5-10 years that includes the old and modern projects under reconstruction.In a meeting prepared by the ministry for the textile companies, Mr. Taha Ismaeel the supervisor on the projects at the ministry of minerals said that this sector should be included in special care in order to be prepared correctly to have an important role in the Iraqi economy.Notably, the ministry of minerals held series of intensive meetings with the industrial sector both the private and mixed ones, to specify the obstacles facing both sectors and finding means of activating these sectors in field of production and competition. Mr. Ismaeel confirmed that the ministry is discussing methods necessary for reviving   the economy through putting custom policy for the imported commodities , imposing taxes, making available the raw materials in suitable prizes and submitting the national commodities to the inspection by special committees in addition to the committees of quality and standardization control organization.
